In Guangdong, many local people start a day with morning tea at a teahouse. For them, it is the most important meal of the day. They go out to meet friends, eat and have fun. 

Guangdong morning tea is not just tea. It is special breakfast with different kinds of snacks and tea. The snacks are called “dim sum”. There are rice noodle rolls, shrimp dumplings, steamed buns, etc. For tea, Tieguanyin, Pu'er and chrysanthemum tea are the most popular in Guangdong. 

广东早茶不仅仅是茶。这是一种特色早餐，有各种各样的小吃和茶。这些小吃被称为“dim sum(粤语: 点心)”。这里有肠粉、虾饺、小笼包等。在茶方面，铁观音、普洱和菊花茶在广东最受欢迎。

The tradition of drinking morning tea dates back to over 150 years ago in Guangdong. During the Qing Dynasty, there was a small restaurant in Guangdong called “Yi Li Pavilion”. It was a place for chatting and having tea and snacks. It was the first teahouse in Guangdong. The local people fell in love with this kind of dining, so more and more teahouses appeared. Little by little, the local people got into the habit of drinking morning tea at a teahouse. 

喝早茶的传统可以追溯到150多年前的广东。清代，广东有一家小餐馆，名叫“易理亭”。这是一个聊天、喝茶和吃小吃的地方。这是广东第一家茶馆。当地人爱上了这种饮食，于是茶馆就越来越多。渐渐地，当地人养成了在茶馆喝早茶的习惯。
